History
This AT-16 was constructed on 2nd November 1943 and allocated USAAF serial 43-13064. The aircraft was shipped to Newark, New Jersey.
1946 saw the aircraft transferred to the Royal Netherlands Air Force, designated B-19, though this didn’t last long before B-19 was shipped to Sweden in 1947. There is little documented history of the aircraft up until 1969, where the aircraft was registered in the Netherlands (PH-SKK) under private ownership.
In 1972, the aircraft was assigned to the UK Civil register as G-AZSC
and owned by Fairoaks Aviation Services. In February 1984, the aircraft was purchased by Machine Music Ltd and displayed by 80’s pop-star Gary Numan, wearing a ‘Zero’ paint scheme.
The aircraft is now operated by Goodwood Road Racing Company Ltd (operated by Goodwood Flying School) and maintained by Goodwood Engineering.
